"Give These Victims a Hand"

Films: Manos: The Hands of Fate (1965)

Alias: Torgo, the Wives, the Hell-Hound, the Master

Type: Mystical

Location: Haunted Home

Height/Weight: Ranges from that of an average Doberman to that of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Well, here it is. Yet another film to add onto the steaming pile we've dubbed "Films the human race would more quickly evolve without". Though at least this one has some more presence in the cult-following culture than most others. And speaking of cults...

History: A devil cult that worships the demon god, Manos, this bunch is led by the Master, a megalomaniac who owns several wives, and a satyr servant named Torgo. When a family comes over to stay the night, it's ShowTime...

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Torgo disappears from the plot after getting his hand cut off for incompetence, and the master enslaves the whole family, making the dad his new favorite servant.

Powers/Abilities: The Master seems to have some sort of hypnotic presence over everyone else.

Weakness: None seen.

Scariness Factor: 2-While the Master can be a bit imposing, poor Torgo makes his associates look like laughing stocks with his stilted speech and clear lack of social skills. These guys are just plain fanatics.

Trivia: -This film has quite possibly the dumbest origin ever. Apparently, fertilizer salesman-oh, I'm sorry, DIRECTOR Hal Warren betted with a famous screenwriter that he could make a horror movie with a minimal budget. Well, it shows. At least he's proud of what he's done.

-Manos is Spanish for "hands". Gee, how subtle.

Awww! She's adorable!
Even the skull looks angry to be here.

"Probably shouldn't have made this thing out of polyester."
